Local Merced native David Garrison has always been passionate about cooking food.

He moved to San Fransisco to pursue his dreams, and attend California Culinary Academy of San Francisco.

Garrison would continue to develop his craft by graduating from California Culinary Academy of SF in 2004.  Shortly after graduating, he began to cook for well-known restaurants around the United States such as Nobu in New York, Ray’s Boathouse in Seattle, Frisson in San Fransisco.  Additionally, he was the Executive Chef at the Wattis Room.

While David lived in San Fransisco, he met his now finance, Kristina Milova. She’s his behind the scenes guru, “Sous Chef” and jack of all trades. Kristina is a huge foodie, especially with the right glass of vino. She is a big believer of community. After traveling some countries around the globe she realized that food plays a big factor in bringing people and laughter together. With having David as her partner in crime, it was a no brainer they wanted to open GRUB together and try to touch as many lives as they can!

They believe in REAL ingredients. Throughout their menu you will find cage-free eggs, non-GMO, local chicken and beef. They work closely with local farmers, growers, and purveyors to source products with integrity, flavor, and soul.

 

They’ve been open since November and been enjoying serving the Merced community!

Since then, Merced County residents have been raving about the new local restaurant which is known as an American cuisine.

Co-Founder, Kristina Milova, tells Merced Daily, ”Our menu will change seasonally, We believe in freshness and quality and take pride in everything we serve.”
