One man is now dead after being struck by a big rig in Merced.
Incident happened around 1:16 p.m.
Merced responded to the intersection W. Olive and Highway 59 for a big rig vs bicyclist incident.
The male adult was pronounced deceased shortly after the collision.
The driver of the big rig stayed on scene and is cooperating with authorities, according to police.
It does appear the bicyclist was traveling the correct way, according to police.
Traffic was diverted causing major traffic delays.
The bicyclist vs big incident remains under investigation.
