A two vehicle traffic collision involving a Ford F-150 and Toyota Solara happened on Santa Fe and Avenue two.

Traffic collision occurred at 9:58 a.m.

CHP say a 65-year-old Winton man, driving a Toyota Solara, was driving eastbound on Santa Fe with a 52-year-old female passenger.

The second vehicle, a Ford F-150, driven by a 54-year-old male from Merced attempted to make a left turn on Avenue Two. The driver of the Ford F-150 drove directly into the path of the Toyota Solara, according to CHP.

The crash sent the Toyota Solara just a few feet away from the railroad tracks.

The female passenger of the Toyota was medi-flighted soon after.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.

Drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in this traffic collision, according to CHP.
