At approximately 12:49 p.m., a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident was reported on Winton Way and Grove Avenue in Atwater.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found one subject on the ground.
Very few details were released; the pedestrian that was struck by the vehicle is believed to be in his/her late 20’s.
The pedestrian was transported by Riggs to an unknown hospital with non-life threatening injuries such as cuts and complaint of back pain.
Due to the pedestrian being combative with first responders, the pedestrian had to be restrained, according to medics.
Very few details were not immediately available due to this incident being under investigation, according to Atwater Police Chief Michael Salvador.
