The Rite Aid located in Atwater will permanently close its doors on October 18, 2023.
The company as a whole has more than $3.3 billion in debt and has more than a thousand federal lawsuits, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Rite Aid stores in Merced, Livingston, and Los Banos survived the recent closures.
More closures are expected in the near future.
