Th Merced Police Department is investigating a triple shooting incident in Merced.
Police say, officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of a multi-unit apartment complex on the N/E corner of Santa Fe Ave and Glen Ave at 1:25 a.m.
When officers arrived, they located two gunshot wound victims inside an apartment and a third victim outside. One of the victims was determined to be deceased at the scene of the incident. The two remaining victims were taken to area hospitals with life-threatening injuries, police say.
The victims remain in critical condition at the time of this news release. The motive for the shooting is not known at this time.
