Merced PD responded to an armed robbery at Best Buy on March 4, 2020.

Employees at the Best Buy reported that a male entered the store where he then selected several items. After selecting the items, the male attempted to exit the store without paying, police say.

As the male attempted to exit the store, he was confronted by store employees. The male then brandished a firearm at the employees and he was able to flee. Soon after the robbery, Merced Police detectives began to follow up on the case. Detectives identified the suspect as Trevon Dickinson of Merced, police say.

Detectives contacted Dickinson at a motel in the 1300 block of W. 16th Street in Merced, March 9th.  Dickinson was arrested and in his room detectives located two firearms. One of the firearms may have been the weapon that was used in the robbery at Best Buy, police say.

Once interviewed, Dickinson was booked into Merced County Jail on multiple felonies.
