At around 7:36 pm, Merced PD set up a perimeter on 10th and 11th street near M street after a male adult leg-bailed from an officer after refusing to take his hands out of his pockets.
Merced PD along with Merced S.O’s K9 searched yard-to-yard for the suspect.
As officers continued searching for the suspect a background check came back for the suspect and indicated he has been arrested multiple times.
After an extensive search through the neighborhood officers were able to detain the suspect at around 8:35 pm.
The suspect was heard yelling and screaming in the background soon after he was found.
The officers did locate a gun along and several magazine rounds.
