An ice skating rink will be fully operational in Atwater by November 1, 2021.

The ice skating rink will be called Razzari Skate Center when it opens, according to the Old Town Atwater website.

The president of Old Town Atwater, Brad Kessler, says the ice skating rink will be 5,000 square feet. The skating rink will be located at the corner of Fourth st. & Cedar Ave.

“The project is purely funded on donations from businesses and individuals. At least 15-20 people are constantly donating their time to make this work,” Kessler said.

Kessler says 7,600 children within the Atwater Elementary School District, K-8th, will receive free tickets to enter the skating rink. (private schools and homeschool included)

“We wanted to provide something more fun and interactive for them,” Kessler said.

The skating rink will be open to the public everyday from 1pm-9pm, weekends are from 8am-10pm.

Admission for the public will be $15, veterans $12, first responders $12.50.

The skating rink will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to Kessler.

The skating rink will officially close on January 16th, 2022.

“I want everyone to come out and enjoy themselves. I hope we can get more people involved in future projects like this,” said Kessler.
