At approximately 4:07 p.m., CHP officers responded to a head-on traffic collision involving two vehicles (Both Hondas) on W. Bellevue Rd and Franklin Avenue in Merced County.
According to CHP, the traffic collision occurred when the driver from (Vehicle 1) traveling westbound, reared the vehicle on to the right shoulder for unknown reasons. The driver of (Vehicle 1) then attempted to go back on the roadway, but over corrected the lane causing (Vehicle 1) to crash head-on into (Vehicle 2) traveling eastbound.
One person was transported by Riggs to a Modesto hospital, according to CHP.
No major injuries were reported.
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the collision, according to CHP.
