A man was riding his bike on Longview Road east of Arena Way.
A 2016 Chevrolet struck the bicyclist after he entered the roadway for unknown reasons at 7:06 p.m.
The male driving the 2016 Chevrolet was going about 35 mph when he struck the bicyclist, CHP say.
The bicyclist sustained major injuries.
The man was airlifted to a Modesto hospital, CHP say.
The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
No drugs or alcohol are suspected from the driver.
