Due to COVID-19, Atwater, like other cities, canceled their annual Christmas parade for 2020. But Atwater will still continue with plans for a drive-thru holiday event hosted by the Atwater Chamber of Commerce and the City of Atwater.
Atwater will have a “Home for the Holidays” drive-thru event in downtown Atwater. The event will have staged holiday booths throughout Broadway Avenue, spectators will be able to watch from their vehicles.
“We didn’t want to do nothing, so we came up with the concept of hoping we can have a little fun with it, said Atwater Chamber of Commerce Board Member Alice Gilbertson.
Vehicles line up starts on Cedar Avenue (westbound, begins at First Street)
The event starts at 7:00 p.m., ending at 8:30 p.m., Friday evening.
No pedestrians or walking on the viewing route will be permitted.
The event is free to the public.
