At approximately 2:40 p.m., a report of a female attempting to hit a male with her vehicle was reported on W. 24 street at the Amtrak Station in Merced.
According to a witness, the man was able to quickly getaway while running across the tracks.
The vehicle was described as a Gray Toyota SUV.
A witness was able to get a license plate number, which ended up coming back to a woman who lives in winton.
At approximately 3:03 p.m., Merced PD officers located the victim near the north side of the Amtrak station.
He stated he was not injured and told officers he was going to leave in a few minutes.
It’s unknown what led to this incident.
